Adelaide was watching over a training exercise. She wanted to pick apart which tactics and techniques needed to be applied to the style of fighting she and Sam planned on introducing. She was observing every formation, every skill and tactic that the Romans were so fond of using. She had instructed her cohort to use these tactics before in war games and battle practices, but she had never tried to pick it apart quite like she was doing now. She watched them with a keen eye noticing what needed to be improved, mentally storing away which moves they couldn't afford to lose. There was a small band of Greeks who were helping her test out these moves of course. They were a random group of a few kids from Ares, one or two big three kids and a few Hermes campers.
She was getting pretty good at remembering Greek god's names. She tried to memorize them as much as she could, she wanted to adapt to their customs as quickly as she could. Not because she wanted to get rid of her Roman ones of course. She was Roman, it was in her blood and she would always be Roman. It was simply better politics to try to get along with a new culture. If that meant she learned more names for Gods and not to salute when meeting someone then so be it. She needed this to work and it wasn't going to if someone at some time started to bend a little.
Adelaide watched as the group of Greeks tried to attack her Roman formation again. The daughter of Jupiter ordered out Zama and watched as the Greeks quickly fell into chaos at the purely Roman maneuver . It was one that always seemed to startle and rattle opponents. She couldn't help the small grin when she saw the Greeks quickly being forced to the ground by her small legion. Yes, that one was going to have to stay she though a little proudly to herself. Ok so yes she wanted to play nice for political happiness, but that didn't mean she couldn't enjoy this for a little while longer. || WORD COUNT: 370|| OUTFIT: HERE|| NOTES: yay first meeting! || TAGS: @elijah || || template designed by NEMO of adoxography ||

Spying on the Greek and Roman camps had become far too easy for the son of Iapetus. Elijah had learned very early on that he was going to have an easy time of it. The Greeks and Romans were constantly at each others throats, and it was rather interesting for him to watch. He had every bit of confidence that he was going to be able to go back to Celestia and the other Children of the Titans with the news that their conquering the newly formed joint camp would be childs play. When the pretty blonde leader of the army was smirking as she watched the Greeks easily over run by her Romans, that was telling in itself. He smiled a bit and watched, the Greeks couldn't figure out how to truly work together, which meant that this was going to be the easiest job he had ever done in his life. Celestia would be happy, and he knew very well how easy it was to make the girl happy.
Leaning against a table he watched the Greeks being completely over taken by the Romans and with a practiced look of concern looked over at the beautiful blond girl. " I hate to be a bother but, have you conisidered maybe teaming them up a Greek with a Roman in order for the Greeks to learn faster? Rather than them being humiliated like that?" he held his hands up in front of him, " Not trying to tell a lady how to do her job or anything, just a little concerned about the moral of the Greeks ma'am. " He gave her an innocent little grin, he knew that pairing them up like that was likely to cause more chaos, which was what he was going for of course, but she didn't know that.
As he looked at her though, his blue eyes sparkling he couldn't help but be taken back by how beautiful she really was. He had to be careful. Getting too close to the people you were trying to destroy was never a good plan. He smirked a little and glanced back at the chaos, " Sorry if I stepped on your toes or anything gorgeous, I just wanted to tell you what I saw from that little..exercise." he gave her a sexy little smile and a wink and stood up straight watching the soldiers down the hill.

Adelaide made mental notes. The formation was strong, clearly. The Greeks had been confused and fell apart quickly. A part of her wondered how easily these more advanced military techniques would be for them to grasp. She figured it would take some time and patience, but after seeing this small group fall apart so fast she wondered if they'd ever be ready. It was no shock that the Titan camp was going to come for them, it made sense. Why stand back when your enemy was weak? Crushing them to nothing would be the Roman way, and Titans were even more brutal than that, she couldn't imagine what they had in store for her and this camp but she wanted to be ready for them when they decided the time was right to strike. She was about to call out another formation when a voice called over to her, and even more than that the voice began telling her how to do her job. Adelaide tilted her head slightly, turning to face the source of the brave person, her eyes falling on a very handsome and very dangerous looking guy. Not dangerous in the way that he could fight her, she highly doubted too many in this camp could beat her in a fight. No, he was dangerous in the way his bright blue eyes seemed to instantly pierce her and in the way she had to keep mentally forcing herself not to look at his lips which looked too soft and pouty and utterly out of place on a guy like that.
The stranger kept talking, apologizing for stepping his bounds and yet he continued to make suggestions about the morale of the Greeks. Adelaide felt her irritation rise up and she let that emotion take over anything else she might have been feeling. She walked over to him, a look somewhere between amusement and of one a lioness might give a gazelle who comments on the lioness's hunting strategy. " Why would I team them up when the whole point of this exercise is to see my Greeks fighting together? Not that this is any business of yours, but might I suggest in the future you get all of the facts before you comment on things, especially things I'm sure you know nothing about." She looked back over the group of soldiers milling around, waiting on orders. They were beginning to talk, help one another up. They understood this was a training exercise, at least she hoped they understood it. Sure it might be a little frustrating for them now, but eventually this would benefit the whole camp. "And as for Greek Morale, I think a few bruised egos today are better than bloody bodies tomorrow wouldn't you agree?" She looked back over at him. He must be Greek, that much was apparent though she couldn't figure out which house he might be from. He had commented on training tactics which might be Athena, but he definitely didn't look like the Athena type. He was bold enough to be a child of Ares though she doubted one of them would have apologized for commenting on her training. He was pretty enough to be a child of Aphrodite but from what she'd seen so far they were too busy decorating the camp to care about training. It was a bit of a mystery and she wasn't a fan of mysteries " So which house are you from Greek? You know..in case I ever require more of your insightful counsel." She smirked a bit, and waited for his response. She looked back at her troops and gave them a hand signal for dismissal. Despite the interruption she had seen most of what she needed to see. She watched the groups leaving, a few Romans and Greeks talking to one another. She would have given anything to hear them speaking, to hear if the words were friendly or not but unfortunately that was another mystery she would never know. Adelaide was about to give him her regards and leave when he spoke again...calling her gorgeous and winking at her. Winking. The boy actually had the audacity to wink at her. He's either very brave or very, very stupid she thought to herself. Adelaide closed the distance between the two, standing a few mere inches from him, her voice low but deadly. " Did you actually just call me gorgeous? Do you have any clue of how bad of an idea that was?" Her hand absentmindedly went to her gold lightening bolt necklace that she tended to touch whenever she was trying to keep her calm. Notes: Let the games begin! The grin on Elijah's face only grew as he talked to the girl. She had fire, and spunk, and he liked that. She was not one to take things lightly either, which meant she was going to be a force to be reckoned with later. That was ok though, if he could get into her good graces, then things would be much easier in the long run. He could have her on his arm, and protect her at all costs if it came down to that, but that was all just stupid thinking on his part, but it would be a damn shame to lose a girl like that to Thanatos' waiting arms. Hell, it would be a shame to have her captured by his family in the Sea of Monsters, but at least if that were the case he could insist on her being his. Elijah was very different from the other titans in some ways, but he also had a hell of a mean streak that you just didn't want to mess with. He noticed that already in this girl too.
He smirked at her, just shaking his head as he watched a couple of them fighting no longer like a training exercise, more of an argument. " Hey, far be it for me to tell you how to do your job ma'am." He gestured to the fighting duo and chuckled a bit. She was right, and he knew that, but he needed her to doubt herself, that was going to be the best way to get the Titans to continue to infiltrate the camp. He was there as it was, and a few others, but so far, that was all. He had to sneak off here and there to send messages and get things done. He watched her as she watched them, his eyes trailing over her taking everything in. She was beautiful, but she also looked strong and even stubborn. He liked that too. She was going to be a fun target to mess with. " Whatever you say ma'am." he leaned forward watching the people start to walk off and shook his head. They had a long way to go if they ever thought they could beat his family.
" Hmm? Me?" he shrugged, " I don't even know if I am Greek, for all I know I'm Roman. I haven't ever been claimed, I was an orphan so..." he shrugged again. No way in hell he would ever tell anyone at this camp of his true origins, one of them knew, but they were also a Titan, so that was safe. He watched her as she got all uppity about him flirting with her and it just made the smirk grow a little wider, " Oh you would rather I call you beautiful then? Because you are..." he laughed and watched her touch the necklace around her throat, " Daughter of Jupiter, thats rather impressive. Dangerous girls...very sexy." he was pushing it and he knew it, but that was the idea. The more he pushed her the more fun for him.

Adelaide had glanced at the soldier when the guy nodded to them. There was a Roman and a Greek arguing, she didn't know about what of course but from the wild hand motions and body language she was certain it wasn't anything good. Adelaide pursed her lips as she watched them, both of the camper's sides trying to pull them apart before it could escalate, she at least was happy with that small gesture. Without turning towards the guy she spoke again " That..you see the sides trying to diffuse them? That's progress..that's hope." A month ago neither side would be trying to stop the fighting, they would have let it happen. There had been so much tension, so much anger. It was like a constant leaking of gasoline and everyone was waiting on the tiniest spark of anything to set it all off. Things were getting better, they just needed more time. At the mention of the guy being an orphan Adelaide's face softened a bit. That was something she was all too familiar with, though technically she wasn't an orphan, she was never abandoned. She was however a child of a mother who didn't want her. She could still remember how fast her heart had been beating in her chest as she ran from the airport, away from the only life she had ever known into such uncertainty. Things had worked out well for her, and she wasn't complaining. Others weren't so lucky. She pushed that sentiment aside though and scoffed " A Roman? No, I don't think so." Adi couldn't help the small grin, she couldn't see this guy taking orders, following in line he didn't seem like the type. She could however picture him with the tattoos, though that thought was enough to make a faint blush rise in her cheeks.
When he called her beautiful though she quickly snapped out of any out of place school-girl crushing she might have been doing. Was this guy crazy? Adelaide wasn't now nor ever was the girl who got called beautiful and gorgeous all the time. Mainly because she demanded respect, but also because in the past she had a very fierce older brother who tended to not like guys calling his sister such things. It was beyond annoying to have this random stranger speaking to her in such a casual way, like she was some sort of air-headed Venus child. A crack of thunder rang out as she met his eyes, speaking in a low seductive tone " Oh..so you like danger?" She continued holding his gaze as she called down a bolt of lightening a mere two feet from them. It was close enough so that she could feel it's energy as it met the ground, the air instantly alive and charged. Running her finger slowly down his chest, eliciting electric shocks as she went down. Nothing that would seriously harm him of course, but enough for him to know it was there she spoke again a sightly cocky grin on her face " Had enough danger boy?"
